Public Safety Notice: Connecticut Sex Offender Registry
In alignment with Board Policy 3516.40, Sex Offender Notification, the Consolidated School District of New Britain remains committed to protecting the health, safety, and welfare of all students.
As part of this commitment, we work in cooperation with local law enforcement to take appropriate precautionary measures when notified that a convicted sex offender resides within the district. In such cases, information may be shared with relevant staff and individuals whose roles involve direct contact with students or responsibility for monitoring school property, programs, or events.
We also encourage families to stay informed. The Connecticut Sex Offender Registry, maintained by the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, is a public tool that allows individuals to search for registered sex offenders residing in their community.
