A student in the Academy of Health and Sciences perfects real world skills.

NBHS Academy of Business and Finance student smiles at graduation

Year after year, the graduation rate for New Britain High School Academies significantly exceeds the overall NBHS graduation rate, with an average graduation rate of 98%.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
On behalf of New Britain High School, we are excited to introduce you to the New Britain High School Academies. This is a unique opportunity for your child to gain professional knowledge and real-world expertise before they even graduate.

Our high school is home to four distinguished academies, each designed to provide a deep dive into specific career pathways:
● Academy of Business and Finance
● Academy of Health Sciences
● Academy of Manufacturing, Engineering and Technology (MET)
● Academy of Public Service

What sets our program apart?
Our academic model integrates rigorous, college-preparatory coursework with project-based learning, ensuring students master both theoretical concepts and their practical applications. Throughout their four-year journey, students engage in a structured curriculum designed to build technical proficiency and critical thinking skills. This is further enhanced by collaborations with industry partners, offering students early exposure to college-level content and professional expectations. By blending demanding academics with hands-on, real-world experiences, our program empowers students to graduate not only with a diploma but with a clear, competitive pathway to post-secondary education and their chosen careers.

We invite you to learn more about how we can support your student’s future. Please visit https://nbhs.csdnb.org/new-britain-high-school-academies or contact us at (860) 827-2247 if you have any questions.
